Use the release ZIP from the official IDU+ project source. Do not use modified reposts.
Load IDU+ manually from a package
Load IDU+ manually from an unpacked package when testing a local build, previewing a release, or installing before a store route is available.
Installation steps
Extract the ZIP
Extract it into a stable folder that you will not delete. The folder should contain manifest.json.
Open the extensions page
Go to chrome://extensions, edge://extensions, opera://extensions, or about:debugging depending on the browser.
Enable developer mode
Turn on Developer mode, then choose Load unpacked and select the extracted IDU+ folder.
Reload after updates
When replacing files with a newer package, return to the extensions page and press Reload on IDU+.
