Installation steps
Extract the ZIP
Extract it into a stable folder that you will not delete. The folder should contain manifest.json.
Open the extensions page
Go to chrome://extensions, edge://extensions, or opera://extensions depending on the browser.
Enable developer mode
Turn on Developer mode, then choose Load unpacked and select the extracted IDU+ folder.
Reload after updates
When replacing files with a newer package, return to the extensions page and press Reload on IDU+.
After installation
Customize IDU+ appearance
Open Appearance settings
Open an IDU portal page, then click the pinned IDU+ icon in your browser toolbar. If the icon is hidden, open the browser's Extensions menu and select IDU+.
Theme
Switch between Light and Dark mode for the entire portal.
Layout
Portal keeps the classic IDU+ flow. Sidebar creates a modern app shell with collapsible navigation.
Title Font
Choose Aligra, Inter, Audex, or Otfits for headings across IDU+.
Accent
Choose IDU blue, Sea teal, Soft violet, Rose, Amber, or Moss—or enter a custom hex color.
Topbar
Choose IDU navy, Graphite, Steel blue, Deep green, Aubergine, Walnut, or a custom hex value.
Changes save automatically and apply to the open IDU tab. The Saved badge confirms storage. Use Reset to restore Light, Portal, Aligra, IDU blue, and IDU navy.
